Telehealth Services

JMBHC offers B-Well Telehealth Services. Fortunately, there are ways to enlist the help of a reliable, qualified mental health professional from the convenience of your own home. With B-Well you can:

  • Work together with a therapist to process your experiences and learn skills and strategies to address challenges and improve well-being.
  • Get connected with a licensed therapist from the comfort of your home via digital devices and receive ongoing support via live video sessions.
  • Receive confidential support through easy-to-use, secure and HIPAA-compliant service.
  • Pay privately for your sessions or use your healthcare insurance benefits. Many insurance companies have expanded benefits to include telehealth options at this time.
  • Schedule flexible appointments to meet your needs and your lifestyle.

If you are new to telehealth, we want to answer all your questions. Please review the Frequently Asked Questions and don’t hesitate to reach out to us to answer any other questions not listed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my insurance cover online therapy?

Many insurance companies cover telehealth services. We can check with your insurance company to verify your coverage. Patients are responsible for copayment and deductibles. Payments must be made prior to the session. We accept online payments through our Service Payment website.

Will my telehealth session still be confidential?
Absolutely. Confidentiality and your privacy are of utmost importance to us. We follow HIPAA and state regulations for protecting your privacy and our telehealth platform Zoom Video Communications Inc. (ZOOM), is also HIPAA compliant. There are some potential risks to confidentiality with telehealth services, which will be explained and reviewed with you during your intake process, along with ways to reduce such risks
Is telehealth right for me?
Telehealth offers several benefits to face-to-face counseling such as removing barriers related to travel, challenging work schedules, or physical limitations. In these instances, telehealth may allow for more flexibility to fit your needs. The research shows that telehealth counseling is as effective as face-to-face counseling. However, there may be situations when telehealth services may not be appropriate or helpful and face-to-face counseling would be advised. For example, if you need more intensive psychotherapy, are in crisis or simply prefer meeting with a therapist in person in order to disclose important information, telehealth services may not be the best fit. If you are unsure, our clinicians can speak with you and provide guidance and options.
Can I do couple or family counseling online?
Absolutely. We will send you the necessary forms to complete and return back to us. For couples and family sessions, it is important that all members can be seen easily by the clinician on the call.
Do you do video or phone therapy?

Currently, we are only offering telehealth services using video conferencing to ensure the clinician and client are able to view each other’s facial expressions and body language as this is an important part of the therapeutic process.

Do you offer flexible hours?
We offer sessions Monday-Friday, with start times available from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
As a new patient, can I take advantage of online counseling services?
Yes! We will send you the appropriate paperwork to complete prior to your initial session with your therapist.
I am currently a patient at your office, but I have only done face-to-face counseling. Am I eligible to do online or tele-counseling?

Absolutely. Please speak with your clinician. You and your clinician will work together to determine if given your situation or circumstances, telehealth is right for you. If you both decide that telehealth is a good fit, you will need to complete a few additional forms to authorize us to provide telehealth services.

Can I use telehealth services if I don’t live in Florida?
No. You must be a Florida resident and located in Florida at the time of your sessions in order to receive telehealth services from our licensed Florida clinicians.
How do I get started?

If you are currently a client, you can contact your therapist directly and he/she will get you started. If you are a new patient or do not have your therapist’s contact information, you may email info@jfsbroward.org or call (954) 909-0888.

*Telehealth services may not be appropriate for all situations; JMBHC, GJFS and their clinicians may determine that due to certain circumstances, telehealth is no longer appropriate and that services must resume in-person.
