Melissa Oliver, LCSW

Melissa Oliver obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Boston College School of Social Work, where she specialized in healthcare social work. After completing her education, Melissa worked at the American Cancer Society and Boston Medical Center. She has significant experience working with families, children, and older adults struggling with acute, chronic, and terminal illnesses. Melissa continues to work in the field as an Oncology Social Worker, where she assists families in understanding acute and terminal illnesses, coping with the grief and loss of loved ones, and managing the changes in family dynamics. Melissa is trained in trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, bereavement counseling, and solution-focused interventions.
