America El Sheikh is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Florida in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. She has training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Adoption Competency, and Infant Mental Health, and uses play, art, sandtray therapy techniques, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has experience working with clients aged 3 and up and working with clients who have experienced trauma and life transitions, children in foster care, as well as LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients. Her approach is both warm and playful.
