Dating, Sexuality, and Sex Education for Young Adults on the Spectrum

As the world moves towards a more inclusive and diverse place it is important for people on the spectrum to understand proper communication regarding sexuality, consent, and boundaries. This workshop aims to teach participants the “do’s and don’ts” of dating, sex education, and sexual orientation and gender identity.

By the end of this program, participants should be able to identify: Healthy and unhealthy relationships; assault, harassment, and abuse; communicating consent; healthy boundaries; understanding sexuality; empowerment and self-esteem building exercises.

Facilitator: Vanessa Khan, a Florida licensed clinical social worker, qualified supervisor, and certified sex therapist. Vanessa supports clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and intimacy related issues. As a trauma interventionist, Vanessa has spent the past eight years helping clients find the courage and resiliency to implement change by creating an individualized therapeutic journey toward self- discovery. Using past experiences and individual goals, Vanessa’s specialization in human sexuality defined a niche for helping clients regain healthy sexual function and improved mental health.
