Providing a lifeline of support to individuals and families in crisis

Goodman JFS is dedicated to offering critical support to individuals and families facing urgent financial hardship. We provide financial assistance when no other resources—whether from family, friends or community organizations—are available, reliable or suitable. We understand that unexpected financial crises, such as a job loss or medical emergency, can be overwhelming and disorienting. In these challenging moments, our goal is to offer immediate relief, helping to reduce stress and restore a sense of stability during times of uncertainty.

The financial assistance program is designed to be a one-time crisis intervention for help with basic needs. We provide assistance with food, rent, utilities and more for seniors, families and individuals throughout Broward County.

Compassionate social workers evaluate each applicant individually, maintaining the highest degree of sensitivity, confidentiality, respect and discretion. We understand the personal struggles and the difficulty in making the decision to reach out for help. Goodman JFS aims to help each applicant in some way, whether through direct services or appropriate referral to another organization or service.

If you are seeking financial assistance, please fill out the application for evaluation.
