Mission United-Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program

A program funded by United Way of Broward County

Mission United

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) is a United States Department of Veteran Affairs program for low-income veterans and their families who are experiencing or are at imminent risk of homelessness.  SSVF prevents homelessness and promotes long-term housing stability through case management, temporary financial assistance and creating connections to long-term community resources. Through a housing first model, this program addresses the urgent social issue of homelessness and provides individualized support to empower veterans and their families to create housing stability. For consideration for services, individuals and families must be low income, have a veteran living in the household and must be experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness within the next 30 days.
