Joshua’s Path: Plan for Life
What will happen to my adult son or daughter when I am no longer able to care for him or her?
What parent of a child with disabilities has not asked that very question? Parents, siblings or other family caregivers of adults with disabilities are seeking assistance with finding appropriate community resources and providers who will address the unique needs of their loved one. They are most in need of guidance with planning for their family member’s future. Joshua’s Path was created by the Jewish Federation of Broward County and Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward to provide information, support and advocacy in the life planning process for adults with developmental disabilities.

Known as a “one-stop shop for families,” users are able to filter their searches by ages and needs, making it extremely easy to navigate. Broward County is one of five regions across the country to create a Jewish Abilities Alliance directory of resources. This comprehensive directory includes resources in both the Jewish and secular communities, specifically geared for families in Broward County who have a loved one with a disability.
