Rales JFS hurricane supplies were funded by Publix Super Markets Charities and Hands on Tzedakah. Visit ralesjfs.org or call the agency’s main office at 561-852-3333 or its satellite office at 561-558-2100 for more information on Rales JFS.
Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward County‘s kosher food pantry, The Cupboard, is also immediately seeking volunteers who can help prepare and/or deliver emergency hurricane supplies to more than 600 families throughout Broward, including homebound seniors and Holocaust survivors.
“I’d like to thank, in advance, all volunteers who step forward to help us with this critical effort,” said Stephanie Silverman House, The Cupboard’s director. “Without our volunteer army we would not be able to provide food assistance and necessary hurricane supplies to our clients who count on us.”
The Cupboard was created last year with the ultimate goal of eliminating hunger in Broward’s Jewish community. It is supported entirely by community donations.
Volunteers should visit jfsofbrowardcounty.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/ or call 954-530-7555 to become part of the hurricane relief solution. When a storm approaches, registered volunteers will receive an email notification with the date, time and location where they are needed.
