Relapse Prevention group Mondays at Jewish Family Service

A new group geared to help prevent relapse from substance or chemical abuse is meeting once a week at JFS Tuesdays at 6 p.m.

Individuals who have been in prior treatment (in or out- patient) and who are struggling to maintain sobriety are welcome. The group is geared towards relapse prevention through the use of education, alternative coping strategies and peer support. Participants will address the nature of addictive behaviors and identify the relapse process, increase self awareness, and gain a comprehensive understanding of trigger-events and stimuli that ultimately may lead to relapse.
