 JFS of Broward County Support Groups 
The Caregiver Support Group
Location: Tamarac Community Center at 8601 W. Commercial Blvd, Tamarac.
When: First & third Tuesdays of each month from 10:30am - 12:00 p.m.
Purpose: The group is intended to provide emotional support to those who care full time for a loved one.  Members share their experiences and learn about community resources that are available for caregivers and those they care for.  There is no fee for the group.
 
The Bereavement Group
Location: JFS of Broward County at 100 S. Pine Island Rd. Suite 230 Plantation, FL 33324.
When: Every Tuesday from 2:30pm - 4pm.
Purpose: This support group is a mutual self-help group of mostly seniors who have lost a spouse or a significant other.  This group offers the opportunity to listen to the experiences of others and share their own.  The group provides the grieving person camaraderie and empathy from others who deeply understand the nature of the emotional pain they are experiencing.

 
Bereavement Group for Individuals Who've Lost a Child
Location: JFS of Broward County at 100 S. Pine Island Rd. Suite 230 Plantation, FL 33324.
When: Every Friday from 10am - 11:30am.
Purpose: This support group is a mutual self-help group for anybody who lost a child. This group offers the opportunity to listen to the experiences of others and share their own. The group provides the grieving person camaraderie and empathy from others who deeply understand the nature of the emotional pain they are experiencing. There is no fee for the group.
 
DUI Support Group
Location: JFS of Broward County at 100 S. Pine Island Rd. Suite 230 Plantation, FL 33324.
When:
Tues 7 p.m. & Thursday 6:00 p.m.

Purpose: Court ordered group counseling – psycho educational  - group members  with a facilitator and support of one another acquire necessary skills to  make positive changes in their life while taking responsibility for negative life consequences due to use of alcohol and or drugs.
 
Domestic Abuse Program
Healthy Relationships Educational Support Group
When: Tuesday - biweekly ongoing. 6-7pm - Time limited -12 weeks
Purpose: Group members learn about Power/Control, Communication, Finding/Maintain Healthy Relationships, Rebuilding Self-Esteem, Setting Boundaries, Improving Coping Relationships. Group provides a supportive and safe environment to share and learn from other women who have experienced domestic abuse.
