| JFS Food Delivery Program |  |
The JFS Food Delivery Program provides supplemental kosher food once a month to senior clients of JFS. This is a 100% volunteer driven program that allows volunteers to share the very special value of sharing food with those in need.
Seniors who must consider abstaining from meals to pay rent or utilities and those who have difficulty going to the grocery store are dependent on this program. JFS volunteers enjoy the benefit of a two-fold mitzvah: delivering bags of groceries for those in need and visiting isolated and frail seniors. The delivery of food helps to assure these seniors are not forgotten.
Volunteers assist in all the aspects of the program, from purchasing food, sorting and bagging the items to arranging the deliveries. Donations of food, as well as gift cards and funds help JFS purchase a wide variety of staples.
