JFS maintains a longstanding tradition of providing compassionate and effective mental health counseling. Therapy at JFS integrates the advantages of private practice with those of a well-established family service agency. Our highly qualified team of clinical social workers and mental health counselors serves all ages in resolving diverse issues. We provide individual, child, marital and family therapy, support groups and family life education programs.

Counseling/Psychotherapy

We often have to cope with many different life-challenges at once. Sometimes our ability to deal with these added stresses can gradually become overwhelming. At these times, it is important to have someone to help with the task of problem-solving and balancing life’s difficult demands.

Domestic Abuse Services

To help break the cycle of abuse and intimidation, JFS offers a 24-hour crisis line (954) 560-8303, confidential counseling, case management, and emergency housing. The program includes KOLOT, voices of caring individuals and community agencies dedicated to ending domestic abuse in the Jewish community through outreach, education and public awareness.

Family Mediation

A Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator will guide clients through the divorce mediation process in a relaxed, non-adversarial environment. Participants will have the confidence of knowing that JFS can help resolve the issues in a manner that promotes family values and individual dignity.

Substance Abuse Treatment

Jewish Family Service of Broward is licensed by the State of Florida Department of Children and Families to provide substance abuse prevention and treatment services.
